How to use goal tracking in your PSC app to build consistency, stay accountable, and make movement part of your routine.
Let's talk about something we all know but don't always want to admit: motivation is unreliable.
Some days, you can't wait to get on your mat. Other days, your schedule is packed, you're running on caffeine, and the idea of getting to class feels like one more thing on an already full to-do list.
And that's exactly why we don't believe your movement routine should depend on feeling motivated.
At Physoulcal Fitness & Wellness, we're big believers in building habits that support your life, not routines that require your entire life to revolve around them. Because the real magic isn't in one incredible workout. It's in the consistency you build over time. And your PSC app has a little feature designed to help you do exactly that.
Meet Your PSC Goal Tracker
Did you know you can set personalized class attendance goals directly in your PSC app?
Whether you're working toward two classes a week, building up to three or four, or simply trying to establish a routine that sticks, your goal tracker gives you a way to turn your intentions into something measurable. No complicated spreadsheets. No counting classes in your calendar. Just a simple way to see how often you're showing up for yourself. And before we get into the how-to, here's something worth remembering:
Your goal doesn't need to be impressive. It needs to be realistic enough to repeat.
How to Set Your Class Goals in the PSC App
Step 1: Open Your PSC App
Start by opening your Physoulcal Fitness & Wellness app and logging into your account.
Don't have the app yet? You're missing out on the easiest way to book classes, manage your reservations, and track your progress.
Once you're logged in, look for the trophy icon along the bottom of your screen, you may find it under the last icon that looks like four boxes. This is where you'll find your goal tracking dashboard.
Step 2: Set a Goal That Works for You
Inside your dashboard, select Edit Goal to customize your class attendance target.
Not sure where to start? Here's how we'd think about it:
1–2 classes per week: A great place to start if you're establishing a movement routine, returning after some time away, or balancing an especially full schedule.
3 classes per week: A consistent rhythm that allows you to incorporate different types of movement throughout your week.
4+ classes per week: An option for those who enjoy making PSC a regular part of their routine, with a thoughtful balance of strength, conditioning, mobility, and recovery.
Remember, more isn't automatically better. The right number depends on your goals, experience, recovery needs, and everything else happening outside the studio.
Step 3: Put Your Classes on the Calendar
Here's where setting a goal turns into actually making it happen. Once you've decided how often you'd like to move, open your class schedule and start booking. We recommend looking at your week ahead and choosing your classes before your calendar fills up with everything else. The beauty of PSC is that you have different ways to move, and your routine can reflect what your body needs.
The goal is to make movement a part of your schedule, not something you try to squeeze in if there's time left over.
Step 4: Watch Your Consistency Build
Every time you attend a class and are checked in, your PSC app automatically updates your progress toward your attendance goal. You can revisit your dashboard to see how you're doing, celebrate the milestones, and make adjustments when needed. And yes, we're big fans of celebrating the little wins. Because sometimes the biggest accomplishment isn't a personal record or a heavier set of dumbbells. Sometimes it's realizing you've consistently made time for yourself for an entire month. That's worth celebrating, too.
Let's Get a Little Nerdy: Why Tracking Your Goals Actually Works
There's a reason we encourage setting a specific attendance goal instead of simply telling yourself you'll work out more.
Behavioral research suggests that specific, actionable goals paired with progress monitoring can help people follow through more consistently.
Here's why.
1. You're Turning an Intention Into a Plan
"I want to work out more" sounds great, but it doesn't give you much direction.
"I'm taking three PSC classes this week" gives you something concrete to work toward.
When you take that one step further and decide which classes you'll attend, you're reducing the number of decisions you have to make throughout the week.
2. You're Making Progress Visible
It's easy to overlook how much you're accomplishing when you're focused on everything you still want to improve. Tracking attendance gives you a visual reminder of your effort. And while attendance isn't the only measure of fitness progress, it is one way to recognize the consistency you're building.
3. You're Building Habits Through Repetition
Habits develop through repeated behaviors in consistent contexts. The more regularly you make movement part of your week, the more familiar that routine can become. That doesn't mean every workout will feel easy or that you'll always be excited to show up. It means you're creating a structure that makes showing up feel less like a daily negotiation.
4. You're Creating Accountability Without Perfection
We love a goal. But we don't love the idea that missing one means you've failed. Life happens. Work gets busy. Bodies need rest. Schedules change. Your goal tracker is there to help you recognize patterns and stay connected to your intentions, not to make you feel guilty when your week doesn't go as planned.
Consistency isn't about never missing a class. It's about continuing to return to your routine.
Your Routine Should Have Some Rhythm
One of the things we love most about PSC is that your movement routine doesn't have to look the same every day. Some days call for strength, others call for a little more cardiovascular conditioning. Sometimes, what you need most is an opportunity to slow down, breathe, and move with intention.
A balanced routine might incorporate PSC Drip & Flow for strength, PSC Tempo for conditioning, PSC Barre or Sculpt for muscular endurance, and PSC Flow or Restore for mobility and recovery. Your attendance goal tells you how often you're moving. Your class choices help determine how you're moving. Both matter.
The Bottom Line? Make Showing Up Easier.
You don't need a perfect schedule, unlimited motivation, or a completely different lifestyle to create a consistent movement practice. You need a realistic starting point, a little intention, and a routine you can keep returning to. So open your PSC app, set your goal, and book your next class. We'll take care of the movement, the music, and the good energy. You just have to show up.
Find your rhythm. Keep your ritual.
See you on the mat, bestie.
